General InformationInnsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria. It is located in the broad Inn-valley between high mountains and therefore an internationally renowned winter sports centre, and host of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. There is more, however, to this charming city than winter sports.
